Aubrie received her bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Psychology and Sociology from the University of New Orleans. A New Orleans native, a member of the LGBTQ+ community, she recieved her Masters of Counseling at Loyola University New Orleans, her view of the therapeutic relationship is one of mutual respect and collaboration. Her approach is holistic person-centered; you are not just your struggles. Her goal is to get to know the whole you and work together to explore and define presenting problems, develop future goals for an improved life and work toward realizing those goals. Person-centered therapy allows clients to take more of a lead in discussions so that, in the process, they may discover their own solutions. She believes her role is to assist clients in reaching the goals they may have for themselves by providing unconditional positive regard and helping to facilitate individual journeys. Her area of interest is clay work, art making, and meditation, finding it intrinsically healing and revealing to use techniques that are of interest to individual clients. Recognizing that therapy can be daunting, Aubrie hopes to help alleviate that fear through understanding that each client’s journey is unique, and tailoring a therapy for them, with an emphasis on finding what makes them feel safe and at peace.
