Meet the Counselors

New clients must complete their TherapyAppointment client portal before their first visit with their counselor. This also applies for all new clients scheduling telecounseling appointments.
To complete your TherapyAppointment portal:
Choose a counselor below and click "Book an Appointment." (If you would like guidance on choosing a counselor, please contact us).
Once you are on the counselor’s TherapyAppointment page, click the button to register as a new client.
Please follow the prompts to register.
Within your client portal, you must complete all of the documents under “My Docs & Forms”, input a credit card, upload a photo ID, and submit your insurance information. (You should be prompted to input your credit card, insurance info, and photo ID, but please check under “My Profile” to see if everything is in the system.) This should take 10-15 minutes.
Once everything in Step 4 is completed, you will be contacted by your counselor to set up your appointment.
Tierney Clay, M.S., PLPC
Tierney Clay, M.S., PLPC
Tierney graduated in from Capella University with a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology. She believes in helping clients to find healthy perceptions, and strengthen their relationships, so they may live a more gratifying and satisfying life. She will provide a safe, open, empathetic, and non-judgmental atmosphere where the affected individual can be at ease. She is passionate about helping you become the best version of yourself. She recognizes that each individual client presents unique needs, so she will be maintaining openness and developing diverse techniques and strategies that will meet the needs best suited for each client. Her therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Client Centered Therapy.

Toni Conrad, MS, LPC
Toni graduated from Nova Southeastern University in 2017 with a Master’s of Science degree in Counseling. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and has experience working with both adults and children. She has experience working with individuals with depression, anxiety, trauma, anger management, ADHD and various mood disorders. Her repertoire includes working community mental health, private practice and inpatient settings. Toni believes that everyone should have the chance to live a high functioning life and strives to help her clients achieve their goals, as well as improve and develop coping mechanisms and problem solving skills. Her preferred therapeutic approach is a client centered cognitive behavioral therapy.
Allison Constant, LCSW
Allison Constant, LCSW
Allison Constant is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Board Approved Clinical Supervisor (BACS) with over 10 years of experience as a social worker. She earned a Master’s in Social Work from Boston College and has been working as a school social worker supporting and advocating for students, teachers, and families. Allison has had a strong focus on working with children, adolescents, and young adults, as well as those struggling with fertility, pregnancy loss, and post-partum. She has experience supporting clients with coping skills, emotional regulation, social skills, anxiety, depression, and navigating life transitions. As learned through her practical experience, Allison believes in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and feelings. Furthermore, she approaches counseling from a collaborative, strength-based mindset in order for clients to see incremental progress and to achieve their goals with positive, healthy outcomes.

Cynthia Cuttino Edwards, PhD, CHt, LCSW
She graduated from Southern University at New Orleans with a Masters degree in Social Work. In 2011, she recieved a PhD in Behavioral Science with a concentration in Clinical Hypnotherapy through California University. Her love of helping others led her to continue and expand her clinical work to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She works with professionals and individuals with a wide variety of issues including depression, anxiety, fibromyalgia, stress management, test anxiety, grief counseling, and self-care for the working adult.

Kate Daigle, LCSW
Kate Daigle, LCSW
Kate received her bachelor's degree in Child and Family Studies and graduated with a Master's of Social Work from Tulane University in 2004. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly 20 years’ experience.
Kate specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families and has 11 years’ experience working in a school setting. Kate works with clients to improve social skills, coping skills, goal setting, behavior modification, and reduce anxiety. She provides a nonjudgmental, supportive approach to psychotherapy where she believes in listening to each client to address their individual needs. She provides a safe, confidential space where her clients feel comfortable expressing themselves and working towards their goals.
Gabriella DeMatteo, PLPC
Gabriella DeMatteo, PLPC
Gabriella graduated with a master’s in clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Holy Cross. As a New Orleans native, Gabriella earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in Sociology from Louisiana State University. She is dedicated to supporting clients through their life journey by providing a nonjudgmental space to process thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Gabriella takes a person-centered approach, viewing the therapeutic relationship as collaborative and focusing on creating a safe space for clients to talk and process. She utilizes various theories and methods tailored to each client's unique needs, as she believes that counseling is not a one-size-fits-all endeavor. With experience working with individuals from various ages and backgrounds, Gabriella helps clients navigate challenges across the lifespan. Her expertise includes assisting clients through life transitions, relationship issues, anxiety, grief, and depression. By developing coping strategies, fostering self-understanding, and appreciating clients’ strengths, Gabriella aims to empower individuals to achieve personal growth and well-being.

Daniel Foy, PLPC
Daniel is a New Orleans native who graduated from the University of Holy Cross with a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2020 and is a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC). Before pursuing his education in counseling , he served in the United States Army for nine years where he was deployed in three combat tours to Iraq. It was his transition back home that encouraged him to further his education and aid his fellow brothers/sisters in arms.
Daniel is interested in providing services to all who are in need, both military and civilian alike. Daniel has come to find that when servicing veterans, it is important to extend support to their family as well. He would like to assist clients on working through mental issues that hinder their ability of being their best self, specifically addressing individuals with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Anxiety, and Depression disorders.
Hope Gersovitz, Ph.D., LPC-S, LMFT
She graduated from LSU with a Masters in Counselor Education. In 2004, she became a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. In 2011, she received a Ph.D. in Behavioral Science with a concentration in Hypnotherapy through California University. In 2010, she opened New Orleans Counseling & Hypnosis Center. Currently, she is serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Her areas of expertise are couples counseling, hypnosis, depression, and anxiety issues. She is an interactive, solution-focused therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges.

Megan A. Goldfarb, Ph.D., LPC
Over her 10 year career, she has worked with hundreds of clients navigating the process of recovery. Her experience includes working with adults with substance abuse and addiction disorders, bi-polar and anxiety disorders, depression, and those who have experienced trauma and natural disasters throughout the world. She tailors her approach to meet your needs and maximize the effectiveness of your time together. She believes in empowering through education as well as treatment. She specializes in a wide variety of techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational-Emotive Behavior Therapy, and Brief Solution Focused Therapy. In 2009, she obtained her Master in Arts in Community Counseling from John Carroll University.

Sally Johns, M.Ed., LPC-S, CCHT
Clinical Coordinator for NOCHC, Sally obtained her Master of Education degree in Counselor Education at the University of New Orleans. In 2011, she became a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Her focus areas include: anxiety, grief recovery, relationship/couples counseling (Level 2 Gottman trained), anger management, stress management, teacher support, parent support, career counseling, developmental education, and emotional awareness. She became board approved supervisor (LPC-S) in 2019 for other provisional counselors and recently in 2021, is certified in Clinical Hypnotherapy (CCHT). In the past, she has worked in schools, the community, and mental health centers providing counseling to most populations. She is an LGBTQ+ ally and has worked in the Orleans private and public school system providing counseling and alcohol/drug prevention.

James M. McGinn, Ph.D., LPC, NCC
James graduated from Fairfield University with a Master of Arts degree in School Counseling in 2011 and obtained a doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Holy Cross in New Orleans in 2020. He is a state Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), and he is trained and certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). His areas of expertise include depressive and anxiety disorders, family conflict and divorce, loss and grief, and trauma. He provides counseling to adolescents and adults – particularly those within the LGBTQ+ community – from a predominantly cognitive-behavioral therapeutic orientation but also draws from solution-focused, strengths-based, and creative approaches to join with and support clients in their journey to life improvement and contentment. He is only offering telehealth sessions through a video conferencing platform.

Aubrie Smith, PLPC
Aubrie Smith, PLPC
Aubrie received her bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Psychology and Sociology from the University of New Orleans. A New Orleans native, a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and recieved her Masters in Counseling at Loyola University New Orleans, her view of the therapeutic relationship is one of mutual respect and collaboration. Her approach is holistic person-centered; you are not just your struggles. Her goal is to get to know the whole you and work together to explore and define presenting problems, develop future goals for an improved life and work toward realizing those goals. Person-centered therapy allows clients to take more of a lead in discussions so that, in the process, they may discover their own solutions. She believes her role is to assist clients in reaching the goals they may have for themselves by providing unconditional positive regard and helping to facilitate individual journeys. Her area of interest is clay work, art making, and meditation, finding it intrinsically healing and revealing to use techniques that are of interest to individual clients. Recognizing that therapy can be daunting, Aubrie hopes to help alleviate that fear through understanding that each client’s journey is unique, and tailoring a therapy for them, with an emphasis on finding what makes them feel safe and at peace.
Cody M. Smith, MS, LPC
She graduated with a Masters in Counseling Psychology from William Carey University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor with abundant experience working with a wide range of clients and mental health concerns. Her areas of expertise include the treatment of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma, anger management, and emotional awareness. She provides psychotherapy and counseling to a broad spectrum of adults, particularly members of the LGBTQ community. Her approach to therapy is holistic and inclusive, utilizing techniques from Cognitive Behavioral, Rational-Emotive, Brief Solution Focused, and Psychodynamic therapies in order to establish a therapeutic relationship and best meet the needs of each client.

She graduated with her Masters of Science in Mental Health counseling from Capella University. Donneisha Wilson, MA, LPC
Donneisha earned a Master of Arts in Counseling from the University of Holy Cross in 2017. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Donneisha has worked with clients in various stages of life and has concentrated on children, adolescents, and young adults. Donneisha enjoys assisting her clients as they transition through the stages and phases of life. She utilizes Person-Centered and Solution Focused Therapeutic theories as well as Directive and Non-Directive Play Therapy. Donneisha has experience working with children and adults with adjustment concerns, anxiety, depression and impulse control disorders.
